Tasks and Qualifications:

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Act as EHS Lead for installation projects, supporting the Project Management Team to ensure safety, legality, and compliance regarding EHS matters.
  • Support in enforcing Dematic EHS Standards and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Enforce principal contractor/client and site EHS standards.
  • Vet potential sub-contractor groups.
  • Participate in design risk assessments and CEA reviews.
  • Ensure risk register implementation aligned with CDM Regulations.

- Serve as the EHS subject matter expert for country/local regulations, ensuring compliance.

  • Advise site management on differences in country-approved codes of practice and Dematic standards.

- Collaborate with Dematic and local EHS teams to achieve EHS goals.

  • Provide input and advice on EHS issues.

- Audit compliance with the One Dematic Annex EHS standards.

- Support safety initiatives to improve safety matters, including:

  • Enhancing safety culture.
  • Mentoring, educating, and coaching managers and employees on safety standards and best practices.
  • Providing pragmatic safety improvement recommendations.
  • Conducting Behavioral Based Safety Observations (BBSO) and recording on Gensuite.

- Develop practical safety solutions for ongoing installation and commissioning works.

- Support project and site management to meet Dematic and site sustainability goals.

- Maintain Dematic's Safe System of Work (SSoW) across sites.

- Oversee and apply the One Dematic – SSoW, monitoring adherence to site EHS plans and annexes.

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum NEBOSH Level 5 Diploma in Occupational H & S.
  • Valid certificates for mandatory EHS memberships (e.g., IOSH, IIRSM, IPAF, CITB/CSCS).
  • Language skills: at least B1-C1 level in project and local language.
  • At least 5 years as an EHS professional, with 3 years on installation/construction sites.
  • Experience with CDM Regulations and Machinery Directive.

- Proficient in MS Office and cloud-based systems.

- Capable of leading EHS teams across multiple sites, providing training, writing safety alerts, supporting incident investigations, and reviewing risk assessments.

- No outstanding criminal or civil law cases related to EHS matters.
