How will you make an impact?

Reporting to the QEHS Manager on site, you will be responsible for the following;

  • Oversees cross-departmental environmental and health & safety activities and contributes to site-specific policies, objectives, and improvement plans.
  • Ensures relevant staff receive essential EHS training (e.g. manual handling, fire safety, permit to work) and leads external audits.
  • Collects, analyses, and reports EHS data to support performance tracking and continuous improvement.
  • Acts as liaison with local authorities such as H&S Executives and the Environment Agency
  • Drives EHS initiatives and campaigns, promotes knowledge sharing, and serves as a key ambassador for EHS culture on site. Represents the site in UK and global EHS forums, including occasional travel.


What will you need to succeed?

  • Proven experience in EHS roles within sectors such as FMCG, manufacturing, chemicals, or water, with familiarity in waste plant operations and Environment Agency interactions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver training and influence workplace behaviours effectively.
  • Working knowledge of key EHS regulations and practices, including COSHH, LOTO, confined space, and pollution prevention.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining EHS management systems and documentation.
  • Relevant qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH Diploma as well as the IEMA are essential
