This role is suitable for a recent graduate in Occupational Health, Environmental Health and Safety, Safety Management, or a related field.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Coordinator to support our Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) team in a challenging industrial environment. The successful candidate will support health and safety initiatives, ensure compliance with UK legislation, and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career candidate with a strong interest in EHS.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in developing and implementing EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
  2. Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend preventive measures.
  3. Provide support to Chemistry Lab and Occupational Health through coordination, administration, equipment, and record maintenance.
  4. Coordinate and conduct EHS training sessions, including inductions for new hires.
  5. Support Emergency Response team training and activities.
  6. Assist Occupational Health initiatives.
  7. Maintain records and documentation.
  8. Support workplace safety committees and meetings.
  9. Assist with internal and external health and safety audits.

Qualifications/Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
  2. Active pursuit or possession of NEBOSH certifications.
  3. Experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing or industrial settings is desirable.
  4. Understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
  5. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant health and safety management software.
