EHS Advisor (H/F)

Carbon60 is proud to partner with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor within the Quality department. Lufthansa Technik is a global leader in maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.

This permanent EHS Advisor position is available due to ongoing growth and expansion. The role involves working with the Security Manager to ensure compliance with EHS standards, ISO14001, ISO45001, Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH), and REACH regulations.

Role Responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with departmental managers to maintain EHS compliance.
2. Managing risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
3. Reporting and investigating accidents, including KPI reporting.
4. Auditing to ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards to sustain LHT Group approval.
5. Developing EHS policies aligned with UK law and group requirements.
6. Implementing health and safety targets.
7. Developing a cross-functional Safety Team.
8. Assessing new substances and maintaining REACH compliance.
9. Managing PPE standards and compliance.
10. Participating in Lufthansa Technik EHS community activities.
11. Providing EHS training and developing training programs.
12. Monitoring EHS testing requirements through a control plan.
13. Supporting occupational health initiatives with HR.
14. Conducting meetings with first aiders and providing support.
15. Assisting the Quality Team with procedural updates.

Skills and Experience required:

1. Background in EHS, preferably with aviation knowledge.
2. Strong administration and coordination skills.
3. Experience with risk assessments, audits, and MSDS reviews.
4. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
5. Degree-level education in Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
6. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
7. Recognized auditing qualifications, with experience in ISO14001 or ISO45001 (preferred).
