EHS Advisor

Progress Rail is seeking an EHS Advisor to lead and support environmental, health, and safety initiatives at our South Queensferry facility. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining ISO standards, conducting audits, training staff, and managing various environmental and safety programs.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting operations to understand and implement EHS requirements
• Promoting safe practices and maintaining communication with leadership
• Managing EHS systems for ISO45001 and ISO14001 accreditation
• Conducting audits, incident investigations, and safety walks
• Developing and delivering EHS training and orientation
• Managing compliance documentation and reports for regulatory agencies
• Overseeing site-specific environmental management systems, including waste, Legionella, and noise control
• Supporting reviews of risk assessments and safety procedures
• Leading EHS committee meetings and preparing safety reports
• Serving as site security manager and performing additional duties as assigned

Candidate profile:

• Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations, policies, and programs
• NEBOSH General Certificate with at least 3 years of experience; a diploma or degree is preferred
• Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
