Job summary

Everlinked Ltd, on behalf of a well-established Burnley manufacturing site, is seeking a hands-on EHS Advisor to own day-to-day environmental, health and safety activity on site—covering chemical handling, working at height, waste management and fire safety.

You’ll audit ISO 14001/45001, lead investigations and supplier/contractor control, with a strong pension, autonomy to shape the role, and consultancy support as the site grows.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental and safety compliance with ISO 14001/45001.
• Hands-on, site-based role; NEBOSH or IOSH preferred.
• Manufacturing experience not required if core EHS skills are strong.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day EHS compliance including COSHH and risk assessments.
• Manage chemical handling, waste, and site safety processes.
• Lead accident investigations, fire/evacuation, and RAMS/inductions.
• Oversee training, PPE stock, and contractor control.

Job description

Our client, a well-established manufacturing site in Burnley, holding ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditation, is looking for a hands-on EHS Advisor to own day-to-day environmental, health and safety activity on site — chemical handling, working at height, waste management and fire safety, run largely independently.

What you'll be doing

• Own EHS compliance day-to-day: COSHH and risk assessments, internal audits, and preparation for the annual ISO 14001/45001 audits
• Manage chemical, Ardrox line, cooling tower and effluent processes — PTW, RPE/PPE, ordering and stock control
• Lead accident investigations, fire/evacuation management and contractor control (RAMS, inductions, site access)
• Manage waste (hazardous and non-hazardous), site policies and statutory training, plus new starter manual handling inductions and PPE stock

What we're looking for

• Broad EHS experience covering both environmental and health & safety, with working knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 to audit standard
• A hands-on approach, not a desk-based policy role, with NEBOSH or IOSH preferred
• Sector background is flexible — manufacturing experience isn't required, provided the core EHS skill set is strong
