The UCLH Electronic Health Record (EHR) Pharmacy, Cancer Chemotherapy, and Clinical Trial team is looking to recruit an enthusiastic analyst with a keen interest in digital healthcare. The successful candidate will support the EHR team and wider organisation to manage medication, clinical trials and cancer chemotherapy protocols within our EHR system, Epic.

Main duties of the job

The team consists of several applications that cover pharmacy, chemotherapy workflows, and clinical trial management. The post holder will oversee and be responsible for the design, configuration, build, and testing of these application modules, mainly focussing on Willow Inpatient and Research. Working in conjunction with the EHR delivery managers, they will be responsible for close working with the other application teams in the EHR programme (e.g. outpatients). This includes supporting the managers to ensure the team execute relevant plans and deliver work on time in adherence to the established governance structure and quality standards. They will engage regularly with clinicians and operational managers, analysing service needs, and helping them to agree and deliver clinical best practice standards, future workflows and system optimisation.

The work will include developing, managing and supporting other analysts, and working closely with training, technical, information, programme management, benefits and communications staff. We have excellent relationships with departmental leads, super-users and subject matter experts who help prioritise our workstreams. We also have a rolling upgrade programme which delivers new features and functionality to ensure the system is up-to-date.
