Job summary

InspireU, part of Lincolnshire County Council, is seeking an EHCP Assistant to support SEND services across Lincolnshire. You will help manage EHCP processes, attend multi-agency meetings and produce accurate records to support annual reviews.

The role offers hybrid working with a nominated base, a competitive salary (£26,847 - £28,153) and a comprehensive benefits package. A full UK driving licence is required and training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information, advice and guidance to young people, families, professional agencies and Children's Services regarding InspireU services and EHCP processes.
  • Attend annual reviews and other complex multi-agency meetings, taking detailed and accurate notes of discussions, actions and decisions.
  • Produce and distribute meeting records and documentation within agreed timescales.
  • Support the SENDCO and EHCP Co-ordinators with the preparation and writing of annual reviews and associated reports.
  • Work collaboratively with learners, families, schools and external professionals to ensure views, wishes and aspirations are accurately captured and reflected within review documentation.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, databases, spreadsheets and electronic systems in accordance with statutory guidance and organisational procedures.
  • Organise, collate and prepare documentation required for annual reviews, meetings and SEND processes.

About the Role

Due to internal promotion, InspireU has an exciting opportunity for an EHCP Assistant to join our team, supporting young people, families and professionals across Lincolnshire.

At InspireU, we support young people aged 16-24 with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) to develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to achieve positive outcomes in education, employment and adulthood.

As an EHCP Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the management and administration of Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes across the organisation. Working closely with the SENDCO, EHCP Co-ordinators and wider multi-disciplinary teams, you will help ensure that annual reviews and statutory processes are completed efficiently, accurately and within required timescales.

You will provide advice and information to young people, families, schools, professional agencies and Children's Services regarding InspireU's EHCP processes and provision. The role will involve attending a range of multi-agency meetings, producing detailed records of discussions and decisions, preparing review documentation and supporting the production of annual review reports.

This is a varied and rewarding role where attention to detail, strong communication skills and a commitment to improving outcomes for young people are essential.
