Manage a designated plant area and systems in the following dimensions: Governance, risk and compliance; business planning and budget management; project and outage management; contract strategies and contract management; development and management of maintenance strategies and lifecycle; stakeholder management to achieve business, department and team operational targets.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and manage governance, risk and compliance strategies to ensure responsible operation of EGTL assets, adhering to GMI-PEM, MAN, and SHE management systems.
  • Create and oversee the plant and systems engineering business plan, integrating it into the overall EGTL business plan. Manage engineering and maintenance budgets.
  • Manage projects and outages from concept to completion, ensuring safety, quality, time, and cost targets are met.
  • Lead strategic contract management, including complex negotiations and performance management.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to meet technical, compliance, and cost objectives.
  • Achieve business targets through proactive networking, stakeholder engagement, and benchmarking.

Your profile

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in power plant engineering, maintenance, and operations. Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering.
  • Familiarity with policies affecting engineering asset management and CCGT operations.
  • Experience managing high-value, high-risk power plant projects. Qualified to APMP Level D or similar, working towards Level C.
  • Strong contract management skills, understanding operational and financial risks, negotiation skills, trained in CME, and authorized for key contract roles.
  • Deep understanding of maintenance best practices and SAP execution.
  • Proven safety leadership and safety culture development, qualified in occupational safety.
  • Operational Excellence Navigator experience.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, motivation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to inspire change and challenge norms.
  • Strategic planning and organizational skills, with a focus on long-term goals.
  • Working towards professional accreditation.
  • Qualified and practicing First Aider.
