Egg Farm Production Manager / Poultry Stockperson

Location: Shropshire

Salary: £50,000 DOE + On-site Accommodation + Bills Included

The Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Egg Farm Production Manager or Poultry Stockperson to join a leading agricultural business in Shropshire. Renowned for high welfare standards and premium free-range egg production, this operation seeks a motivated individual to manage daily production and flock welfare.

The Company:

This well-established and respected food and farming business is known nationally for animal welfare, sustainability, and efficiency. It values its people, livestock, and the quality of its produce, operating to industry-leading standards.

The Role:

You will manage four free-range poultry sheds, ensuring high standards of bird welfare and maximizing egg production. Responsibilities include monitoring bird health, behaviour, and housing conditions; managing routines to optimise productivity; overseeing biosecurity, hygiene, and vaccinations; supporting flock changeovers; maintaining records; and reporting to senior management. This hands-on role requires poultry management experience, initiative, and attention to detail. Leading a small team, you will ensure operational efficiency while upholding welfare and production standards.

The Candidate:
  • Experience with poultry or livestock in a production setting
  • Knowledge of biosecurity and welfare protocols
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented leadership
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The Package:
  • Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 DOE
  • On-site accommodation: Spacious 3-bedroom bungalow (most bills included, electric and water not included)
  • Hours: 40 hours/week, Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday (7:15am – 4:00pm)
  • Long-term career opportunity within a progressive farming business
