The Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Egg Farm Production Manager or Poultry Stockperson to join a leading agricultural business in Shropshire. Renowned for their high welfare standards and premium free-range egg production, this forward-thinking operation is seeking a motivated individual to help manage daily production and flock welfare.

The Company:

This is a well-established and highly respected food and farming business, known nationally for its commitment to animal welfare, sustainability, and efficiency. Operating to industry-leading standards, the business places great value on its people, its livestock, and the consistent quality of its produce.

Key responsibilities include monitoring bird health, behaviour, and housing conditions, managing daily routines to optimise productivity, and overseeing essential practices such as biosecurity, hygiene, and vaccinations. You will also support flock changeovers, including both depopulation and repopulation, while maintaining accurate records and reporting directly to the senior management team.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a thorough understanding of poultry management, a strong sense of initiative, and a meticulous eye for detail. Leading a small, experienced team, you will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency while upholding welfare and production standards.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and solutions-focused leadership style
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment

The Package:

  • Salary: £35,000 – £50,000, depending on experience
  • On-site accommodation: A spacious 3-bedroom bungalow with most bills included (*electric and water not included)
  • 40 hours per week, Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday (7:15am – 4:00pm)
  • Long-term career opportunity within a successful and progressive farming business
