A regional health board in Aberdeen is seeking a postholder for the Department of Clinical Biochemistry. The role involves working in the busy specimen reception area, handling tasks such as opening mail and preparing samples for analysis. Applicants should have a scientific or administrative qualification to SVQ level 3 and strong communication skills. The position requires participation in a rota for Saturday morning support.

The postholder will work within the Department of Clinical Biochemistry as part of a team in our busy specimen reception area, performing a range of tasks including opening mail, bar coding request forms and samples, assisting in the preparation of samples for analysis, and other pre- and post-analytical tasks.
Requirement to participate in rota to provide Saturday morning support between 09:00 and 13:00, and one evening per week.
The successful applicant should be able to work under pressure, have good communication skills, and possess a scientific or administrative qualification to SVQ level 3.
