Welcome to our team. This is an opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the Occupational Therapy Paediatric service within Combined Child Health.
The post holder will carry out assessment and intervention for children within the clinical base, schools, and patients' homes across Aberdeenshire. They will provide full assessment and treatment programmes for children in the South and West Aberdeenshire Area, managing Occupational Therapy staff and working closely with other Band 7 staff across Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City.
Travel is required across Aberdeenshire and to Aberdeen City as part of the job role. The post is part of a well-established, progressive, and supportive Occupational Therapy department. As a senior member of staff, you will contribute to the Occupational Therapy service across clinical areas.
The post holder will require excellent communication and organisational skills, providing full assessment and treatment programmes for patients with a wide variety of conditions in mixed community settings. Multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working is essential for seamless care, and the Occupational Therapist is a vital part of this.
The post holder will supervise and allocate work to Occupational Therapists and Health Care Support Workers, and will also be required to deputise for the Lead Occupational Therapist as needed. Training of students and service development within the wider Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team is integral to the job.
