The Haematology Department is seeking two trainee Biomedical Scientists to join our busy, dynamic, and friendly team.
The department provides a diagnostic Haematology service to approximately 500,000 people in NHS Grampian, handling over 600,000 samples annually and offering a wide range of diagnostic tests.
You will complete a comprehensive competency program covering practical and theoretical aspects of the role, supported by our Training Officer and qualified team members. Full training will be provided in Routine Haematology, Haemoglobinopathies, Coagulation, Bone Marrow Testing, and Flow Cytometry.
The department is fully automated with Alinity systems, coagulometers, and is fully computerized with the iSoft Apex system. It is registered by HCPC and IBMS as a training laboratory and holds full UKAS Accreditation.
Applicants must possess an accredited BSc Hons in Biomedical Science. This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic individuals wishing to pursue a career in Laboratory Medicine.
As this is a training post, we will only shortlist candidates with less than 12 months HCPC registration.
