Chief Biomedical Scientist Histological Dissection
Applications are invited from a suitably qualified HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist for the position of Chief Biomedical Scientist in the department of cellular pathology.
The successful applicant will be expected to have significant post HCPC registration experience in an NHS diagnostic cellular pathology lab, a MSc in Biomedical Science and the IBMS Diploma of Expert Practice in Histological Dissection.
You will have managerial responsibility for specimen reception and dissection. You must have proven experience supervising, training with outstanding communication skills. The department holds UKAS 15189 accreditation and is an approved IBMS training laboratory.
The laboratory is responsible for providing a diagnostic service to NHS Grampian, NHS Orkney and NHS Shetland and includes Histology, Cytology and Immunocytochemistry.
