Description du poste

G MASS Consulting are partnered with a leading global financial services group, as they seek an experienced eFX Business Analyst to join their FX business in London.

This is a front-office facing role at the centre of a strategic eFX platform change. The client is replacing its existing third-party eFX liquidity aggregation platform with an alternative vendor system, as part of a broader rationalisation of its trading technology estate. The consultant will act as the bridge between the trading desks, the vendor and internal Technology. They will translate trading requirements into a clear delivery plan and coordinate the migration across multiple desks.

The successful candidate will combine genuine eFX domain knowledge with strong business analysis and project management skills. They will be comfortable spending significant time with the vendor’s team and credible in front of traders.

The role is an initial 6-month contract with the opportunity to be made permanent, starting in December.

Responsibilities
  • Engage directly with traders, sales and desk heads across the FX business to capture, document and prioritise trading requirements for the new platform.
  • Map the current-state eFX workflows on the existing aggregation platform. This covers liquidity provider connectivity, price aggregation, order routing, client price distribution, and downstream booking and STP.
  • Run gap analysis between the current platform and the new vendor system, identifying functional, workflow and control gaps and agreeing remediation or workarounds with stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary business liaison with the vendor’s team, working closely with them on configuration, functional specifications, issue resolution and delivery milestones.
  • Establish and run regular working groups with trading desks, the vendor, Technology and Operations, setting agendas, facilitating decisions, tracking actions and driving issues through to resolution.
  • Plan and project manage the migration across desks, including liquidity provider and venue onboarding, client migration sequencing, parallel running, cutover and decommissioning of the legacy platform.
  • Define and coordinate UAT with traders and Technology, including test scenarios for pricing, execution, order types, credit checks and downstream booking.
  • Work with Technology on FIX connectivity, integration with internal pricing, risk and booking systems, and market data requirements.
  • Engage Risk, Compliance and Operations on pre-trade credit controls and the regulatory and control implications of the platform change, including best execution and MiFID II reporting where applicable.
  • Maintain delivery plans, RAID logs and dependencies, providing progress reporting to the programme lead and steering committee.
  • Contribute to the wider system rationalisation programme, identifying further opportunities to simplify the eFX technology estate.
  • Proven experience as a Front Office Business Analyst or BA/PM within eFX, ideally on a trading platform, aggregator or vendor system implementation or migration.
  • Strong understanding of eFX market structure and workflows, including liquidity aggregation, ESP and RFQ/RFS pricing, smart order routing, liquidity provider and venue connectivity, and last look.
  • Hands‑on experience with third‑party eFX aggregation or trading platforms (vendor or in‑house).
  • Solid FX product knowledge across Spot, Forwards, Swaps and NDFs.
  • Working knowledge of the FIX protocol and the integration of trading platforms with pricing, risk and booking and STP infrastructure.
  • Experience managing third‑party vendors through requirements, specification, testing and delivery.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating delivery across multiple desks and stakeholder groups.
  • Confident and credible engaging with traders, able to challenge and prioritise requirements under time pressure.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps and test plans.
  • Awareness of MiFID II requirements relevant to electronic trading (best execution, transaction reporting, algorithmic trading controls) is advantageous.
