Use your love for languages to enrich young lives

PGL is a place where children achieve the impossible.

Our residential adventure camps create extraordinary breakthroughs by fostering a love of adventure and the outdoors, encouraging independence, and empowering children to achieve great things in the future.

Our purpose is to enrich children's lives through the transformative power of adventure. Will you join us?

Being an EFL Teacher at PGL

Working with kids requires energy, confidence, and effort, but we guarantee it’s never, ever boring. Our EFL courses combine classroom-based English lessons, sightseeing excursions, and outdoor activities to make learning engaging!
You will prepare and deliver fun, engaging lessons to our international guests, both in the classroom and outdoors, motivating them to improve their English skills.

You will receive a 3-day induction and support from an on-site Director of Studies, who will guide you through pre-written weekly or bi-weekly programmes (A1-B2 level), with the option to include your own resources that meet our Can Do philosophy. Class sizes are a maximum of 15 students.

Are you a PGL person?

You need your Cambridge CELTA/Trinity Cert TESOL or equivalent (PGCE in English/Modern Languages, Primary PGCE leading to QTS) and previous teaching or training experience. Beyond your teaching qualifications, your character is what we value most. PGL people are:

  • Passionate about adventure and the outdoors
  • Friendly and team-oriented
  • Determined and resilient (peak periods can be challenging)

Our core values are FUN, SAFETY, QUALITY, INCLUSIVITY, TEAMWORK, and RESPECT, which unite us.

A place to thrive

Fair pay and benefits for all

  • Enjoy holidays! In addition to your annual leave, you get your birthday off and paid volunteering days.
  • Access to our Wellbeing Hub and Employee Assistance Program 24/7.
  • Support for your financial wellbeing through our platform.

We value diversity and inclusivity and are committed to accessible application processes. Please contact us for any adjustments needed. All employees must undergo an Enhanced criminal records check (DBS or PVG), which we pay for. You will need to provide a 5-year address history and ID (passport, birth certificate). Convictions related to violence, drugs, or safeguarding may affect your application, but each case is assessed individually.
