We are seeking an Effluent Team Leader to manage the daily operations of the effluent treatment plant at our Yogurts and Desserts facility in Market Drayton.

The role's purpose is to carry out line manager tasks for the operational team responsible for equipment operation and to ensure the plant runs efficiently and complies with Trade Effluent Consent and environmental regulations.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team, troubleshoot issues within the treatment process, and ensure compliance with permits.
• Monitor and test the plant outputs, such as discharge water, and address any out-of-specification results.
• Communicate effectively with regulators, senior managers, factory operatives, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely notifications to EA.
• Propose engineering and routine maintenance needs and recommend operational improvements for efficiency.
• Ensure site safety regulations are followed, raise hazard awareness, and communicate safety directions to the team.
• Maintain accurate records to ensure full compliance with permits.
