Job summary

Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking a Goods Receiving and Distribution Officer (Supplies) to support the receipt and delivery of hospital supplies. The role includes goods receipting, organising deliveries to wards, and assisting with stock checks using hospital inventory systems.

The position requires basic literacy, the ability to follow task lists, and an understanding of health and safety at work. It is a full-time role based in London with the option to cover other sites as needed.

Qualifications

• GCSE literacy and ability to read instructions.
• Ability to follow task lists and work methods.
• Basic health and safety awareness in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform manual handling and routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods into the site and check against deliveries.
• Organise deliveries to user departments and coordinate with portering staff.
• Undertake goods receipting and prepare items for distribution.
• Select and forward internal requisitions from bulk stores using inventory systems.
• Work across multiple PPS hospital sites as required; support Ward Inventory Controller.
