Job description

Our client is seeking an HR Assistant to be based in their Head office, in their Uxbridge office.

Job Specification:

Responsible to the HR Manager, you will be supporting day-to-day HR activity, covering but not limited to the following areas:

  1. Administrative support: Maintaining the employee database systems, arranging meetings and appointments, handling incoming and outgoing post.
  2. Answering enquiries: Providing an initial response to internal and external enquiries from existing staff members, managers and candidates for vacancies.
  3. Assisting with recruitment: Publishing and editing job listings, arranging interviews and communicating directly with candidates.
  4. Assisting with onboarding: Leading orientation for new employees and giving information about benefits.
  5. Assisting with annual leave and absence reporting.
  6. Payroll & Benefits: Assisting with payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
  7. Producing documents: Updating employee handbooks and newsletters and writing letters and reports.
  8. Recruitment support: Maintaining the applicant tracking system (ATS); CV screening and administration.
  9. Coordinating events: Interview/assessment day coordination.
  10. Supporting on ad-hoc projects.

Personal Requirements:

  1. Able to establish and maintain professional interpersonal relationships.
  2. Ability to accurately document, record and maintain information and data.
  3. Ability to work with high self-direction and flexibility, especially with respect to taking initiative, prioritising multiple tasks, and using good judgment to resolve problems.
  4. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Integrity – the role requires appropriate handling of confidential and sensitive information.
  6. Must be educated to degree level (Bachelor’s degree).
  7. CIPD level 3 or above is desirable but not essential.
  8. Good knowledge of Microsoft-based applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
