Job description

Job Title: Semi-Skilled Operative

Job Type: Contract

IR35 Status: Inside

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: Up to Dec 2025 (Extension possible beyond this)

Pay Rate: £16.88 - £21.98 per hour, PAYE/Umbrella

Location: Leiston, Suffolk

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, 5 days

Role Description

As a Semi-Skilled Operative, your primary role will be monitoring the operations of our Distributed Computer System (DCS). You will support the maintenance and operation of various plant systems at Sizewell B Power Station. Additionally, you will assist technicians in supporting the maintenance teams' key roles.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Monitor the distributed computer system to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of plant processes.
  2. Support the maintenance team with routine checks, maintenance, and calibrations of plant instrumentation.
  3. Communicate accurate data to multiple teams using clear communication techniques.
  4. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  5. Engage with maintenance team leaders daily to support maintenance activities.
  6. Understand and uphold nuclear safety standards.
