This position offers valuable experience as an O&G Registrar at ST3-5 level, based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. It is a fixed-term role, with potential for extension, ideal for candidates pursuing a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Part 1 MRCOG or equivalent is essential for those contributing to the registrar rota.
Candidates will be supported in developing clinical skills and encouraged to engage in audits, quality improvement, and research projects. Prior UK NHS experience is required to understand service delivery within an NHS environment.
The successful candidate will join a 1:8 full-shift registrar rota covering Obstetrics and Gynaecology within a three-tier system. The team includes a Senior House Officer (two SHOs, 0800-1700), two registrars, and a Consultant, who is available from 0800-2100 to support high-quality care and training. A dedicated Consultant provides Emergency Gynaecology care from 0800-1700, Monday to Friday.
Opportunities include supporting various clinical sessions such as antenatal clinics, elective caesarean lists, benign gynecology clinics, 2-week wait clinics, outpatient hysteroscopy, colposcopy, and MVA services.
