Job Title: Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Coventry – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: 45,000+ depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

1. Develop a functional design for the Vehicle Control solution for SSNA
2. Work with stakeholders to oversee the delivery of the vehicle control solution and strategy
3. Collaborate with the engineering manager to deliver the vehicle control system, reporting progress through agile tools
4. Ensure timely delivery of the engineering plan
5. Develop technical solutions with the Engineering Delivery Team and support team members' development
6. Engage with legacy stakeholders to develop solutions based on existing designs

Your skills and experiences:

• Experience in developing C&I designs for large-scale systems meeting various standards
• Knowledge of managing non-functional requirements like EMC and shock compliance
• Experience in authoring/reviewing design documents such as I/O schedules and interface control documents
• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Maths, or Science
• Understanding of control system architecture and protocols (RS-485, PROFIBUS)
• Experience with IEC 61508 – Functional Safety and safety evidence production
• Experience with manoeuvring systems across industries
