Position Overview:
- As the Fundraiser/Bid Writer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet our fundraising goals.
- You will identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and grant-making organisations, and build strong partnerships that align with the organisation's values and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fundraising plans and strategies to meet fundraising targets.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and grant-making organisations.
- Diversify Empowr-U's funding streams to include multiple forms.
- Lead any freelance or bid writers that we work with, setting clear objectives.
- Develop in-kind funding streams that complement our work.
- Write and submit grant proposals and fundraising applications.
- Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
- Manage donor and sponsor relationships and ensure their ongoing engagement.
- Work closely with the team to develop engaging content for fundraising campaigns.
- Monitor and report on fundraising progress, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant fundraising regulations and guidelines.
- Write successful grant funding applications for Empowr-U and third-party organisations.
Person Specification:
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising.
- Proven track record of achieving fundraising targets.
- Experience in writing and submitting grant proposals and fundraising applications.
- Experience in planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of fundraising principles and techniques.
- Ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of relevant fundraising regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- A degree or equivalent qualification would be useful to demonstrate ability in written communication, but other ways of demonstrating this could be equally as important.
Salary, Hours and Perks:
- Part-time or full-time can be considered.
- The salary is £25k-£32,500 pro rata, dependent on experience and qualifications. If you are currently in a higher salaried role this can be discussed at the interview.
