Join Stantec and work on innovative projects across multiple AMP cycles, including wetland solutions, catchment strategies, carbon emissions reduction, and utilizing the latest software and technologies.
We are supporting Northumbria Water throughout AMP 8 and are interested in engaging with candidates open to future opportunities within our team.
You will be supported by your local team and industry experts across the Stantec community. We offer our Storm Overflows Academy for staff development and foster collaboration across disciplines to deliver a diverse range of opportunities for our storm overflows agenda.
You will be a key member of an interdisciplinary team of 175 professionals across over 40 UK & Ireland offices and a global team in Pune, India. This role offers the chance to work from our picturesque Newcastle quayside offices with a hybrid working pattern to promote work-life balance.
Your daily tasks may include working on Storm Overflows, model maintenance, catchment management, operational investigations and studies, as well as assisting with bids and cost estimates within project frameworks. You will also contribute to planning and programming urban drainage projects, ensuring technical governance and best practices are maintained.

You should be degree qualified (or hold an equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or a relevant subject, and ideally be a member of a relevant professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM. You should have technical experience in urban drainage modelling and a working knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and other modelling and GIS packages.
Excellent communication skills are essential, including report writing, delivering presentations (both internal and external), and industry networking. Embodying our values of client focus and service excellence is crucial.
