As the Manager - Screening Model Developer, you will report directly to the List Management Senior Manager and collaborate with colleagues across the FC CoE and Santander UK (Business Units, Line 2 FC, Technology, and Operations).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Screening models practice and the defined models within the business area.
  • Support model development, interpret regulations, statutes, and conduct matters related to Models and Financial Crime Intelligence, presenting complex information clearly and simply.
  • Stay updated with changes in Financial Crime regulation, legislation, and guidance.
  • Assist in developing team plans aligned with the wider Financial Crime strategy.
  • Provide advice, innovative solutions, and creative thinking to help project teams and senior managers meet objectives in compliance with regulatory expectations and best practices.
  • Ensure the Models and Analytics team is adequately skilled, qualified, and trained.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Broad experience in Financial Crime Analytics as a manager within a global financial services organization.
  • Strong experience of using SQL.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with AI and ML.
  • Experience using Python, SAS, and R.
  • Deep understanding of Financial Crime areas including Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
