Job description

Fire & Security Engineer (Fire Alarms, Access Control, CCTV & Intruder Alarms) - Maidstone - Basic Salary £28,000 - £45,000 Per Annum

Package Overview:

  1. £28,000- £45,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
  2. Plenty of opportunities to increase earnings if wanted

  4. Hours of work- Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Install fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
  2. Perform regular servicing, testing, and preventative maintenance on fire and security systems to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Diagnose and resolve faults, ensuring systems are fully functional and meet safety regulations.
  4. Carry out system upgrades or modifications to meet client requirements and comply with updated standards.
  5. Complete and maintain accurate records, including service reports, installation certificates, and maintenance logs.
  6. Work closely with team members and other trades on-site to ensure seamless project delivery.

Skills & Experience:

  1. Strong technical knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
  2. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  3. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  4. Good understanding of British Standards and industry regulations.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Strong organisational and time management skills.
  7. A methodical and detail-oriented approach to work.
  8. A commitment to health and safety practices.
  9. Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire and security.
  10. Previous experience in both domestic and commercial environments is advantageous.
