Job description

Software Engineer - Defence / Search & Rescue - C++ or C# - Up to 55K - Lincolnshire

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join an award-winning Defence and Search & Rescue organisation located just outside Lincoln. The technical team comprises 9 members, including Software Engineers, Software Testers, Product Owners, and Support staff.

The organisation values sharing ideas and encourages innovation and creativity. As a Software Engineer, you will be involved in all phases of the development process, from conception to deployment. The environment is relaxed yet professional, offering opportunities to design and develop code for complex Defence solutions.

Tech Stack:

1. C++ or C#
2. DevOps, GitHub
3. Simulation
4. Graphical Languages - OpenGL, WebGL, DirectX
5. UI-based software development
6. Software development lifecycle and methodologies

While expertise in all technologies is not expected, a strong foundational knowledge and a passion to learn are essential.

Candidate Profile:

You should be an enthusiastic Software Engineer with good communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and a team-oriented mindset.

Security Requirements:

Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be UK Nationals eligible for government security vetting, including a minimum of 5 consecutive years of UK residency.
