Job Description:

Alexander James Recruiting is working with a global manufacturer of specialist automation products seeking a Sales Director to develop their customer base across the UK and manage a small team of sales professionals across Western Europe. This role offers a strong package, excellent company culture, and brand presence, making it a great opportunity for a successful sales professional in capital equipment seeking scope and challenge.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead, manage, and develop the UK customer base.
  2. Attend customer sites, conduct detailed analysis, and prepare business proposals to provide tailored solutions.
  3. Manage, coach, and monitor a small sales team of 3-5 across Northern and Western Europe with occasional travel.
  4. Drive the company's products and services forward and identify new market opportunities.
  5. Develop and implement strategic sales approaches for targeting and winning new business, aligning with team targets.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have proven sales and management experience, or at least a strong sales background with a strategic mindset. Experience in capital equipment sales, working with blue-chip clients, and a solutions-based approach are essential. Industries of interest include material handling, warehouse automation, conveyors, storage solutions, or related intralogistics sectors, but candidates from other technical sales backgrounds with solutions experience are also considered.
