Join our inspiring team within the Self-Harm Network and make a meaningful difference. We seek volunteers who can bring empathy, understanding, and a positive attitude to support individuals struggling with self-harm. Your personal experience with mental health challenges is highly valued and can contribute to empowering others.
We work closely with individuals and their networks to understand the reasons behind self-harm, explore coping strategies, and build self-esteem. Volunteers will support our staff by helping operate an online web chat service available from 6pm-10pm, 7 days a week, providing reassurance and support to those in need.
No prior experience is necessary—just a genuine desire to promote mental health and wellbeing. We especially welcome applications from individuals with lived experience of self-harm, as well as from diverse communities including BME, LGBT+, and those with disabilities.
