Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Preston, Lancashire. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage and deliver small to medium-sized projects within a wider Data programme environment
• Take full accountability for successful project delivery in line with agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
• Monitor and report on project performance, including financials, risks, and progress against milestones
• Establish and maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to manage expectations and ensure alignment
• Identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities to support the achievement of project objectives
• Ensure all activities comply with internal governance, operational frameworks, and lifecycle management (LCM) processes
• Drive continuous improvement within the project by refining processes and adapting best practices where appropriate
  
  

Essential

Your skills and experiences:

• Ability to plan and manage project schedules from initiation through to delivery
• Skilled in tracking budgets and controlling project costs to meet financial targets
• Experienced in identifying and managing risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle
  
  

Desirable

• Project management qualification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
• Experience working in IT or data-focused project environments

The Data Team

You will be part of a dynamic project management team within the Data function, playing a key role in delivering small to medium-sized projects in a data-driven environment. Working alongside a variety of business functions, you'll be instrumental in managing projects that may involve new and emerging technologies, with potential sub-contracts and multiple interconnected workstreams. Reporting to the Head of Project, you will collaborate closely with other project managers and CAMs to ensure the successful delivery of a complex programme, making a significant impact on the overall objectives of the business.
