Supply Chain Security Manager - London

Introduction

We currently employ over 500 people across eight UK sites, specializing in software engineering, underwater robotics, radars, AI, and armed forces training.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Security, you will collaborate with other Security Managers within the Saab UK Security team and stakeholders across functions to develop, improve, and implement security policies and standards. You will lead the deployment of security requirements across the organization and interface with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to define, negotiate, and execute supply chain security processes and audits for Saab UK.

Your responsibilities include managing supply chain security policies, risk assessments, and procedures, including Secure by Design requirements. An understanding of defence supply chains and Secure by Design principles is essential, along with experience in international supply chains. Stakeholder engagement at all levels is critical, and coordination with global Saab security teams and the Group's Head of Supply Chain Security will be part of your role.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with UK Government, Saab Group, Saab UK, and Contracting Authority requirements regarding supply chain security processes, policies, and procedures.
2. Serve as the central coordinator for supply chain security across all Saab UK sites, identifying and resolving security issues.
3. Establish and maintain an annual audit plan related to supply chain security.
4. Support procurement functions with security-related questions.
5. Interface with suppliers, certification bodies, customers, and external stakeholders on security requirements, threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
6. Conduct security audits and maintain an audit register.
7. Assess threats and risks to internal and external supply chains relevant to Saab UK products, services, and information assets.
8. Assist internal teams with defining and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
9. Report residual risks and KPIs to the Head of Security.
10. Develop and maintain a supply chain security awareness program.
11. Advise on security controls for new contracts and ensure Secure by Design compliance.
12. Perform due diligence on suppliers and product movements.
13. Prepare and implement supply chain security sections for security instructions, bids, and PQQs.
14. Manage supply chain security incidents and breaches, working closely with procurement to ensure secure resourcing.
15. Support the wider security team with additional tasks as needed.

Required Skills:

• UK Sole UK Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC clearance.
• Proven experience in Supply Chain Security.
• Knowledge of UK Supply Chain Security protocols and procedures.
• Understanding of UK Government Secure by Design approach.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of UK Government Critical Imports and Supply Chains Strategy.
• Understanding of NCSC supply chain principles.
• Familiarity with ISO 28000 standards.
