Job Mission

ASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. This position is for a Senior Electrical Engineer with innovative attitude to work in Manufacturing Test Engineering. Candidate will work with development engineers to implement comprehensive production tests that incorporate a high level of performance verification and troubleshooting diagnostics.

Responsibilities

1. Develop Manufacturing specifications.
2. Work with Optical, Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineering staff to develop overall design of Opto-Mechanical/Electrical Modules.
3. Develop assembly concepts and qualification tests for new product design.
4. Introduce new products into production in an existing “Concurrent Engineering” environment.
5. Run image processing algorithm to extract nm flatness information from interferometer data.
6. Develop Matlab scripts to search analyze and plot data from Database.
7. Support query code to interrogate data for manufacturing needs.
8. Support image analysis on data and derive conclusions.
9. Develop production sequence and routings.
10. Develop Manufacturing procedures and technical work instructions.
11. Support in-production issues by assisting Production Assembly and Test Engineers and Technicians with concise troubleshooting of Opto-Mechanical/Electrical Modules and Sub-Modules.
12. Evaluate and disposition failed parts with proposed solutions.
13. Review Failure Analysis Reports from suppliers and help validate the root-cause of the failure Interface with internal and external customers regarding contamination test result, testing methods, and control strategy.
14. Create and direct equipment calibration, upkeep, and new equipment specification and procurement for all analytical instruments used in manufacturing.
15. Able to read optical, mechanical and electrical drawings.
16. Knowledge of Code-V and/or Zemax.
17. Knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW and Python.

Education

BS/MS in Optical Engineering or Physics (Optical Metrology background preferred), or equivalent experience.

Experience

1. 1-3 years’ experience in an Engineering environment.
2. Working knowledge of diverse optical metrology setups: Interferometers, Shack – Hartmann sensor, polarimetry/ellipsometry & Optical alignment.
3. Working knowledge of geometric optics, wave optics, Gaussian propagation, and aberration theory.
4. Working Knowledge in image/signal/data process algorithm, statistics and software development.
5. Working knowledge with epoxy application in opto-mechanical designs.
6. Working knowledge with optical assy/alignment/test equipment/tools.
7. Working Knowledge in lasers, polarization, detectors, electro-optical devices and opto-mechanical constructions.
8. Experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes.
9. Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
10. Working knowledge with Optical-Electrical sensors is a plus.
11. Experience in the field of technical Production Engineering and quality methodology such as statistical process control and FMEA is a plus.
12. Working knowledge of NX, Teamcenter and SAP is a plus.
