Job description

Overview

We have new opportunities available for full-time or part-time Senior Support Workers, working waking nights to join the team at our Knowsley Supported Living Service, Bluebell Lane, L36 7XY. The service is due to become CQC early 2025.

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Hours: 36, 24 or 12 per week working 12-hour shifts 8pm-8am.

The team provides a 24-hour service for people with a mental health diagnosis and will support people in crisis short-term for up to 2 years to a point where they can move on. The service also provides a crisis emergency bed.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to supervise and delegate tasks to a dedicated team of support workers, ensuring that values-based support is delivered to the highest standards to the people we support.

You'll be supporting adults with complex mental health conditions on a person-centered basis, from following care plans to administering medication and assisting with daily living.

Qualifications

As a Senior Support Worker, you will supervise staff members and delegate responsibilities, ensuring values-based support is delivered to the highest standard. Previous extensive Support Worker experience is essential. Due to the complex nature of the service, it is important that you have experience supporting people with mental health conditions, a strong understanding of safeguarding, and the ability to work under pressure.
