Job description

Location: Salisbury

Salary: A GBP 24,309 per annum (Plus enhancements for working weekends)

Hours: 37 hours per week, work pattern of 5 out of 7 days per week (including weekends and bank holidays)

Closing Date: Sunday 25 May 2025

Important: Applicants MUST have a full driving licence.

Salisbury City Council has a new opportunity for the right individual to join our friendly team. Assisting with the cleansing of the highways and footpaths throughout the city and within the parks and open spaces, ensuring DEFRA grade A standards are achieved.

About The Role

  • Removal of litter
  • Servicing street litter bins
  • Street sweeping
  • Removing weeds, graffiti, and fly:tipping
  • Gathering evidence required for prosecutions
  • Driving a Streetscene vehicle
  • Steam cleaning

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Enjoys working outdoors.
  • Friendly and approachable personality.
  • Capable of working effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Strong team player, communicates well and supports the wider team.
  • Has good mobility to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Able to work a rota over 5 of 7 days per week (including weekends/bank holidays).
  • Has a full driving license : Essential
