Job Opportunity: In House Operator (Blender)

We have an opportunity for an In House Operator (Blender) with an eye for detail and good colour vision to join a company dedicated to bringing colour and function to printing and packaging products. This role requires a good problem solver who takes a methodical approach to their work and can work under pressure.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide on-site support to customers:

• Dispense ink according to the daily production plan(s)
• Move products to & from machines if applicable
• Book back press returns into the dispense management system
• Place press returns in clearly marked locations
• Re-work press returns where possible
• Cluster press returns into common running colours
• Place weekly material orders using the provided form
• File delivery notes for month-end stock count
• Book new deliveries into the dispense management system
• Replenish material stocks in the system
• Arrange uplift of empty containers or waste ink, ensuring safety and secure lids

Support ink blending and production:

• Follow all customer & company rules and policies
• Ensure ink area hygiene compliance
• Maintain dispensing equipment and work area with good housekeeping

Provide on-site technical support:

• Update and maintain digital colour database & recipes
• Maintain X-rite (iQC) with colour standards
• Support colour corrections & basic troubleshooting on press

Support ink management and production:

• Capture and address NCR issues
