Automotive Interiors Engineer

Work Experience bracket: 15 years

1. Minimum 15 years' Experience in Product Development Engineering
2. Experience in Automotive Interior Systems, like Cockpit, Console, Cabin Trims, Seating in OEM or component supplier is preferred.
3. Responsible for Design & Data releases and technical issue closures for Interiors Systems
4. Managing the Vehicle BOMs and Engineering Changes
5. Strong Project management skills through Project documentation, trackers & escalations
6. Ownership for product development, change management, supplier coordination and issue resolutions
7. Coordination with various functional departments
8. Creating and managing engineering databases with vehicle categorization and providing the vehicle specs and drawings for homologation certifications.
9. Tracking of product testing and validation and issue resolutions
10. Ownership of Gateway Deliverables
11. Managing Sample trials & Gateway Vehicle Builds
12. Timely addressing on customer complaints and field issues and provide resolutions
13. Creation and improvement of Engineering processes for quality improvement
14. Executing the VA/VE projects to reduce the BOM cost by standardization, commonization and optimization of parts
15. Knowledge on APQP, Quality systems, DFMEA, DVP, etc.
16. Excellent problem-solving techniques and experience performing engineering calculations
