Computer Science Teacher – Greater Manchester – September Start

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting on behalf of a high-achieving, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Bramhall, Greater Manchester for a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher. This full-time position is set to begin in September and offers the opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking ICT & Computing department.

Role: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Bramhall, Greater Manchester
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time, long-term (potential for permanent)
Pay: Paid in line with your scale (MPS/UPS)

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and well-structured Computer Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Prepare students for GCSE Computer Science, including programming, data representation, systems architecture, and more.

Adapt lessons to meet the needs of a diverse student population.

Use a variety of teaching and learning strategies, incorporating technology effectively.

Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and departmental CPD.

Support the school’s digital literacy initiatives and promote e-safety.

Ideal Candidate:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or IT.

Has experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting.

Confident delivering programming units (Python preferred) and computing theory.

Enthusiastic about new technology and committed to inspiring students in the digital world.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
