CCW is the passionate, independent voice representing water consumers in England & Wales. We support thousands of people each year by providing free advice and helping resolve complaints with water companies in an accessible, caring manner. We champion everyone's needs and interests, conducting research that influences water companies, government, and regulators to implement positive change.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consumer Panels Lead.
In July 2024, the Secretary of State announced that consumers will gain new powers to hold water company executives accountable through new customer panels. This was reiterated on 5 September, emphasizing that customers will have the power to summon board members and hold water executives to account for the first time in history.
The proposed consumer panels, one per water company, will provide CCW and stakeholders with direct insights into consumer views. This will enable companies to incorporate independent consumer feedback into decision-making and planning. These panels will operate alongside CCW's Forward Work Programme.
Reporting to the Head of Department, the Senior Consumer Panels Lead will oversee a new team responsible for developing and managing processes to ensure the effective operation of all consumer panels. This role will ensure that panels are run efficiently, produce impactful outcomes, and influence water companies' policies and procedures.
You will be tasked with ensuring that the consumer voice influences company decisions and that panels are supported to hold companies accountable. The work of the panels should lead to actionable outputs and measurable improvements in policies and procedures.
