The Opportunity
In this role, you will work with clients to enhance their ability to solve complex business problems by leading deployment of Data Platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage delivery teams on Financial Services Data Platform transformation programs, including architecture scoping, data analysis, solution design, and implementation. You will have significant leadership responsibilities and collaborate with senior client teams.
- Develop business through building trusted advisor relationships with clients and Data Platform vendors. Support RFP responses and contribute to thought leadership publications.
- Track engagement financials, including time management, billing, and invoicing.
- Mentor and develop team members through coaching, recruitment, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with internal risk and administrative processes.
- Contribute to the development of new EY data solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Engage actively in the Financial Services ecosystem, collaborating with clients, FinTechs, and universities to position Scotland as a Financial Services leader.
Skills and Attributes for SuccessCandidates should have a passion for delivering data platform solutions that benefit customers, regulators, and shareholders. Leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, and effective communication skills are essential.
Minimum Qualifications- Interest and awareness in data, AI, and emerging technologies.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- 5+ years of Financial Services experience in Banking, Capital Markets, or Insurance.
- Experience with Data Platform Technologies, including Snowflake and Databricks architecture.
- Experience deploying and interacting with Large Language Models.
- Ability to develop, test, and deploy machine learning models.
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data transformation and analysis.
- Ability to analyze datasets and generate insights using Snowflake and Databricks tools.
- Knowledge of data engineering and BI/data visualization tools like dbt, Azure Data Factory, PowerBI, Sigma.
- Experience with Agile and traditional SDLC methodologies.
- Perspective on the evolution of the FS industry and the impact of technology and FinTech.
- Experience creating and launching new AI & Data propositions or solutions.
- Previous consulting experience is advantageous, but curiosity and ambition are equally valued.
- Certifications such as SnowPro Associate, SnowPro Core, and Databricks Certified Data Analyst are beneficial but not mandatory; EY supports professional development.
