Interim Quantity Surveyor, Local Authority, 3-Month rolling contract, £450 p/day Inside IR35

Your new company: A well-known Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Quantity Surveyor to join their Housing Team. This role is crucial in managing and delivering their housing projects efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, and challenging invoices to address a backlog of work, ensuring compliance with the NHF Schedule of Rates.

Your new role:

  1. Review and assess contractor invoices for accuracy and compliance with NHF Schedule of Rates.
  2. Challenge and negotiate invoices where necessary to ensure value for money.
  3. Manage and resolve any discrepancies or disputes related to invoicing.
  4. Provide detailed reports and recommendations to senior management.
  5. Collaborate with the Housing Team to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects.

What you'll need to succeed:

  1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within a local authority or housing sector.
  2. In-depth knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates.
  3. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  4. Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent.
  5. Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
