Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Group Scrum Master to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £49.20 per hour.
Role Responsibilities
- Guide and coach team members in self-management and cross-functionality, emphasizing communication.
- Help Scrum Teams focus on creating high-value product increments that meet the 'Definition of Done.'
- Remove obstacles to Scrum Teams' progress, managing obstacle board reviews.
- Ensure all Scrum events are positive, productive, and within the timebox.
- Assist stakeholders in understanding and implementing an empirical approach for complex work, including change management processes.
- Bridge between business tools, processes, and Agile ways of working.
- Ensure effective synchronization between product groups and vehicle groups.
- Govern product goal definition and backlog management, ensuring clarity and linkage to stories and features.
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration and prepare QBR memos with relevant teams.
- Act as a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART), facilitating ART events and processes.
- Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Guide teams on introspection and continuous improvement of agile practices.
- Represent impediments through obstacle processes (e.g., JIRA).
- Support obstacle resolution, protect the team from outside interference, and assist with backlog refinement and dependency management.
- Monitor performance metrics, contribute to delivery planning, and promote timely change requests.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as retrospectives, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Coordinate showcases and prepare materials for group sync meetings.
- Support squad and group product owner activities, including BRP and marketplace sessions.
- Ensure the group remains focused on objectives and aligned across squads.
Skills Required
- Experience in product or program delivery, including purchasing, engineering, quality, or integration.
- Basic understanding of SAFe and Scrum, with prior Scrum Master experience.
- Experience in automotive product development and delivery, combined with Agile delivery knowledge.
Additional Information
Hybrid working model: likely 2-3 days on-site at Gaydon, with occasional travel to Halewood.
