Job description

We are looking for a People Partner to join us for a 6-month FTC on a part-time basis of 4 days a week. You will ideally already be operating as a confident People Advisor looking to take the next step in your career or already have some experience as a People Partner. This role is suitable if you are passionate about culture & engagement and are ready to drive commercially aligned people strategies and results across the teams you will be supporting.

This is a full 360-degree people position, crucial in ensuring the business structure and culture are set up for success and aligned with our organizational OKRs. You will collaborate closely with the wider People team on projects aimed at enhancing employee engagement and managing change.

Our Future Health is set to be the UK's largest health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent, and treat diseases. Supported by the UK Government, charities, and industry, we work closely with the NHS and public authorities across the UK.

Our goal is to gather data from 5 million volunteers nationwide to create one of the most detailed health profiles ever. This information will enable researchers to make new discoveries about human health, benefiting future generations.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop a people strategy for your partner teams, working with the Head of People and Culture and line managers to understand strategic goals and plan activities.
  2. Collaborate with teams to define and improve ways of working.
  3. Create leadership and talent strategies, providing coaching to line managers.
  4. Identify talent, and develop plans to retain, develop, and attract high performers.
  5. Support operational staffing plans in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Finance teams.
  6. Engage proactively with the People and Culture team to develop relationships and enhance ways of working.
  7. Promote employee engagement and communication, ensuring managers effectively connect with their teams and communicate vision and progress.
  8. Manage employee relations proactively by analyzing data, spotting trends, and coaching managers on appropriate actions.
  9. Guide line managers on HR policies and procedures, supporting case management and ensuring legal compliance.
Requirements
  1. Experience in a fast-paced HR environment.
  2. Proficiency with MS Office, HRIS systems, and databases.
  3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking responsibility and seeking guidance when needed.
  4. Strong business acumen and understanding of HR practices, employee relations, and legal requirements.
  5. Discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity in handling information.
  6. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Organizational and time management skills.
  8. HR qualifications such as CIPD are advantageous.
  9. Experience managing employee relations and talent management processes.
  10. Ability to use data analysis for strategic planning.
