Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor with a strong accident repair background to join a BSI Accident repair centre in Glasgow.

Our client promotes a working environment that focuses on quality repairs. With the latest equipment and an immaculate workshop, this company offers a role that is notably different from competitors in the area.

This position is for a skilled VDA / Estimator and requires an experienced candidate who can work competently on Audatex and has a background in the accident repair industry.

Job Details: Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA

• Inspect damaged vehicles, assess the full extent of the damage, and estimate repair costs and time scales
• Identify the correct prescribed repair method
• Prepare computerized and manual estimates, accurately record these, and maintain up-to-date records of all estimates
• Obtain authority from insurance companies to proceed with repairs and confirm repair costs
• Communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and technicians to ensure understanding of vehicle repair methodology
• Ensure any amendments to repair work are authorized by the insurance company
• Once authorized, liaise with body shop personnel to ensure they understand the prescribed repair method

Job Experience: Vehicle Damage Assessor

• Audatex experience is essential
• Experience as a VDA / Vehicle Estimator
• ATA qualification would be an advantage
