Due to the secure nature of the project - All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (DV) level. Due to the secure access of systems, this position will require onsite attendance in Basingstoke.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in seamlessly integrating both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom applications across diverse Windows Desktop and Server environments. Operating within the Managed Applications team, you'll assess and adopt optimal design frameworks for transitioning applications onto established and deployed platforms. Your role includes technical analysis of applications, configuration, security, and documentation for deployment and support.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide input into Solution Design documentation in accordance with the Workstream plans.
• Report regularly to the Workstream Lead & Scrum Master on progress, issues, risks, blocks and recovery/mitigation actions.
• Ensure compliance of all Solution Design work with current business process baselines.
• Raise delivery/performance issues timely for corrective actions.
• Liaise with Authority representatives on complex solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Advanced application packaging & re-packaging
• Scripting in PowerShell or SQL
• Integration of COTS, GOTS, and Client/Server applications within Windows and Linux environments
• Experience with application configuration, Custom Actions, Transforms, troubleshooting
• Good knowledge of VMware
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux systems (historic and current)
