An amazing specialist school in the heart of Maidenhead is on the hunt for a Mental Health Support Assistant to join their team starting ASAP.

The school hiring a Mental Health Support Assistant:

  • Cater for children who have been diagnosed with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
  • They focus on helping these children access their education in the same way as their mainstream peers
  • Each child has an individualised plan and curriculum
  • They facilitate and focus on providing specialist education, where educators and the multi-disciplinary team provide personalised and specific interventions to support learning

What the role as a Mental Health Support Assistant entails:
  • You will be facilitating and providing specific interventions to aid in the children’s learning

  • You will keep track of their academic achievements
  • Have a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding
Qualities you will need to be a great Mental Health Support Assistant:

  • Experience working with children and especially children with SEN will be advantageous but not essential
