Job description

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer with an Electrical bias to join a German machinery manufacturer.
This is a home and field based role covering the East Midlands and Yorkshire. The applicant should ideally live in the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire or South Yorkshire vicinity with good access to motorway network.
The individual will have a strong technical / electrical background and be proficient in various areas such as 3 phase power supplies, fault finding, electrical installation and 24v control systems. Ideally knowledge of pipework installations and Fgas certified to work on industrial chillers and associated equipment although training will be given.
This role involves working Monday to Friday with a very rare possibility of needing to work or travel on the weekend. During the week you will be expected to work away from home if necessary where out of pocket expenses will be covered. A fully equipped 'Transit' style van is supplied with this position.

Duties:
  1. Install, maintain, and repair of filtration systems and associated equipment e.g pipework, industrial chillers, extraction systems.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to filtration systems and associated equipment e.g pipework, industrial chillers, extraction systems.
  3. Utilize power tools and hand tools for installation and maintenance tasks.
  4. Build and assemble components to ensure system functionality.
  5. Apply mechanical knowledge to solve engineering problems.
  6. Perform electrical work as needed.
Skills and Experience required:
  1. City and Guilds Level 2 or equivalent.
  2. Experience with industrial equipment.
  3. Strong knowledge of pneumatics.
  4. Ability to use power tools effectively.
  5. Mechanical knowledge for system assembly.
  6. Understanding of system design principles.
  7. Electrical skills for wiring and installations.
  8. Competency in using hand tools.
