Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Manufacturing team at Victrex as a Manufacturing Leader – MF/VCP.

This is a critical opportunity for a proactive and results-driven professional to play a key role in leading manufacturing operations, managing change, and driving continuous improvement at our world-leading melt filtration and compounding facilities.

About The Role

As a valued member of our operations team, you will provide leadership in manufacturing performance and process optimisation. Leading by example, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable running of manufacturing assets to drive operational excellence and support business growth.

You will champion a culture of safety, collaboration, innovation, and sustainability, working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, SHE, and quality. You will coach and empower team members with a focus on delivering best-in-class manufacturing practices, achieving agreed KPIs, and embedding continuous improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities in Manufacturing Operations Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across assigned area to achieve safety, quality, OEE, cost, and delivery targets
  • Implement and sustain a culture of safety-first, coaching team members and ensuring compliance with EHS policies and regulations
  • Drive CI initiatives, utilising lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Logistics, and Planning to optimise production processes and resolve operational issues
  • Monitor and analyse production data, proactively identifying and acting upon opportunities for process, yield, and quality improvements
  • Contribute to the delivery of business goals through effective resource planning, people engagement, and performance management
  • Champion digital and data-driven solutions to enhance operational performance and reporting
  • Promote inclusion and foster a high-performing, motivated, and collaborative working culture

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing leadership or supervisory role within a regulated or process-driven industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse teams
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing abilities
  • Numerate and IT literate, confident using digital tools and data for performance management
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
