Job Description

This role provides the management and supervision required for the effective running of the school office. With direction and support from the Business Manager and Senior Leadership team, the post holder is responsible for the first line management of the office staff, including dealing with employee relations matters, and coordinating all administrative duties within the school.

The post also involves liaising with external and internal partners regarding school-related issues such as estate management, health & safety, and school lettings.

Requirements

This position is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Applicants will need to become members of the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a scheme update check before a formal offer is made.

Responsibilities

The employment is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which are 'spent'. Failure to disclose such convictions could lead to dismissal or disciplinary action.
