Come and join our amazing team at Derwent!

Are you friendly, compassionate, and creative? As a Wellbeing Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in the lives of our residents, helping to make every day meaningful and joyful. Ideally, we are looking for someone to have care experience, but we know people from other walks of life can become the very best in this type of role - so whether you’ve done this before or are just starting out, we’ll be with you every step of the way with all the training and support you need.

Why join us?

We know our people are at the heart of everything we do, so we reward you with some fantastic benefits, including:

  • Competitive pay rates plus enhanced overtime (+£2 p/h extra!).
  • Recognition of service payments - you’ll receive a total of £500 in your first year.
  • Unlimited £1,000 ‘Refer a Friend’ bonuses - earn every time you recommend someone amazing to join us.
  • Private health care options, helping with costs like dental and optical bills.
  • Funded training and qualifications to help you build a fantastic career with us.
  • Regular annual pay reviews that recognise your contribution.

Plus, we’ve just launched our new Wellbeing Coordinator Development Programme! This is our way of showing how much we invest in you and your future with us.

What You’ll Do

At Derwent, resident wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We believe it’s everyone’s responsibility to create a happy, active and fulfilling environment for our residents. You’ll work alongside an incredible team who share your passion for making life special for the people in our care.

In this fast-paced role, no two days are the same. You will:

  • Get to know each resident personally, building their life stories into meaningful activities.
  • Plan and deliver a fun and varied calendar of group activities, one-to-one moments and special events.
  • Motivate and encourage residents to join in with activities that enhance social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
  • Support residents to maintain strong connections with family, friends and the local community.
  • Capture the magic by snapping photos of events for newsletters and social media.

Our recruitment process

If you’re offered a role with us, it will be conditional on some standard checks, like references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. We also need you to have good English and numeracy skills, plus a passion for caring and helping our residents to thrive.

We want every candidate to feel supported and able to perform at their best during the recruitment process. If you need any assistance or would like to request a reasonable adjustment at any stage, just drop us an email at recruitment@mariposacare.com - we’ll be happy to help.

At Mariposa Care, we’re committed to building a fair and inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from everyone, no matter your age, gender, gender identity or expression, religion, belief, disability, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
